He holds an MBA degree and a Ph.D. He holds a bachelor’s degree in informatics specializing in artificial intelligence and also trained as a lieutenant. His path to engineering began with a degree in computer engineering from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
With over 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Esteva is an expert in leading and managing complex international projects. His extensive career includes coordinating research and development initiatives, working with EU consortia, facilitating knowledge transfer and supporting entrepreneurship. He has gained valuable experience in large corporations and startups, with a focus on IT and management. His years of relevant experience in research and development management make him a versatile leader in the field.
Dr. Esteva’s research spans numerous EU countries, including France, Belgium, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Estonia, Switzerland, Turkey, and Spain. He has played key expert roles in several important projects related to artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies, blockchain and digital storage. His contributions have contributed not only to national projects but also to various EU-funded initiatives within the Sixth and Seventh Framework Programs. He also worked in the field of AI with METAL at Siemens in 1989.
