According to a press release from Tether, the Satoshi Nakamoto statue embodies the mystery and innovation of Bitcoin’s founders and celebrates their vision and legacy.

The statue was designed by artist Valentina Picozzi in a way that incorporates the perspective of an observer. It gradually fades as the viewer shifts back and forth, and when viewed from the side, it completely depicts the image of a man concentrating on his laptop. The image symbolizes Nakamoto’s disappearance from the public eye after paving the way for a decentralized financial system.

Since the City of Lugano launched its Plan ₿ initiative in partnership with Tether two years ago, the city has made great strides in Bitcoin adoption.
