The New York Jets continued their 2024 NFL season despite losing 25-22 to the New England Patriots in Week 8.
In every game, it was a total team effort. Personally, for better or for worse, certain players stand out. That was the case Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
So, here’s JetsWire’s stock report after the Jets’ loss to the Patriots (2-6) (2-6):
Stock down: WR Davante Adams

There are layers to every trade that happens in the NFL, but acquiring Davante Adams looks ridiculous at this point. The Jets are 0-2 since acquiring Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders and continued his below-average effort in Week 8, but Adams has only seven catches for 84 yards since arriving in New York. do not have.
Stock up: WR Garrett Wilson

Speaking of those depths, Adams becoming a Jet helped Wilson shine. Matchups are better against opposing defenses that are focused on Adams, and Wilson is taking advantage of that. Against the Pats, Wilson had five catches on eight targets for 113 yards.
Out of stock: CB Sauce Gardner
(Imagine it)
Gardner is starting to move into “overrated” territory with his recent play. He hasn’t been elite this season, with missed tackles, penalties, and coverage failures. Bad player? No, it’s not so good right now.
Out of stock: K Greg Zuerlein
(Imagine it)
Tourline missed from 44 yards against the Patriots. He leads the NFL with six missed kicks this season. He has no excuses.
Needless to say… New England also missed the extra point.
Stock: DT Quinnen Williams

A below-average offense managed to fight back against the Jets’ defense, but Williams remained solid. He had 1.5 sacks in New England, but Patriots running back LaMondre Stephenson only had 2.4 yards per carry. Unfortunately, New York’s defense was unable to get him out of the end zone at the goal line. This is certainly a difficult challenge.
Stocks down: Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich
(Imagine it)
It appears that being named interim head coach was too much for Ulbrich. Many are starting to wonder if Ulbrich is taking on too much responsibility, inadvertently drawing attention away from the defense and causing struggles.
