Dogecoin co-founder statement
Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus wanted to be part of the fun. Marcus (also known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto) is one of the earliest members of the cryptocurrency community. Along with Jackson Palmer, Marcus introduced Dogecoin in 2013, which is based on the Bitcoin code. Following the uproar caused by HBO, the DOGE founder took the stand himself and revealed who he thought was Satoshi Nakamoto.
Marcus’ claims about Peter Todd
Marcus claimed to X that Peter Todd is not Bitcoin. He pointed out that Todd is “a core developer of OG, but not a creator.” The founder of Dogecoin gave a completely new answer when asked who is the person behind Bitcoin. Without hesitation, Marcus said, “Hal Finney and his friends.”
Hal Finney’s role
It is worth noting that the first Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallet was made by famous software developer Hal Finney. Sadly, we cannot confirm this as Finney tragically passed away from ALS issues in 2014.
