tyler goodson
With Jonathan Taylor still struggling week-to-week with a sprained ankle, Goodson not only latched on to Sermon’s touches and beat Sermon 14-9 on Sunday, he was far more productive than he was. He could potentially earn playing time as a salmon. Relief/pass-catching specialist back. He also scored his first career touchdown against the Dolphins.

Stuard, who led the team with 18 total tackles in his first full-fledged NFL action after the injury to Jaylon Curlies, looked more than capable of being a starting linebacker. We’ve seen him make more plays than Zaire Franklin in just one game all season. If Speed and Carlies miss any expected time, Stuard will have even more of a chance to show off his skills, but even if these two are ready to hit the road next week, I don’t think this long-haired devil I hope he can get some snaps.
matt gay
Gay appears to have made a full recovery from his hernia and even made a field goal over 50 yards up the middle this week. He said he was glad he was able to get through the rut, so he hopes he can eventually become the reliable kicker the Colts envision. With the offense struggling to move the ball, having a player who can consistently kick kicks 50 yards or more is a huge asset.
Jaylon Jones / Sam Womack
I’ve been very critical of Chris Ballard and been the most vocal about his mismanagement of the cornerback position. Especially after No. 1 corner JuJu Brents went down with an injury that sidelined him for most of the season. Well, don’t worry, first of all, second-year cornerback Jaylon Jones has taken great strides this season and continues to grow each week. Next, waiver wire pickup Sam Womack was a diamond in the rough, and in the nickel package Kenney slid down to the slot and was impressive in both tackling and coverage.

It was another disappointing game for Trey Sermon, who had a great opportunity with JT’s absence. Third-stringer Tyler Goodson ended up getting more carries than him, but now that Taylor is back, it’s anyone’s guess whether Sermon will be on the field in the coming weeks.
anthony richardson
Although it wasn’t entirely his fault, this wasn’t a great outcome for Anthony Richardson, who was returning from a hip injury, as the receivers weren’t getting open. 10/24 is never a good sign. And the other problem is that the Colts have some tough defenses coming up, so it’s not going to get any easier for the young quarterback.
Shane Steichen
Steichen looked lost to the Dolphins defense throughout the game, but Miami had an answer for everything he tried to do. The acquisition of JT would be huge for this offense, but Steichen’s regression as a play-caller is a worrying sign for the future. This unit certainly has much more talent than just 16 points, especially considering the Dolphins were missing several key starters on defense.
