More ambitious goals for Ethereum
Vitalik Buterin clearly announced his big ambitions for Ethereum at the Global Blockchain Summit in Shanghai on October 17th. Priorities include exceeding 100,000 transactions per second with layer 2 solutions, enabling cross-chain transfers in less than 2 seconds, and unifying the user experience.
Prioritizing improvements to EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), the security of cross-chain exchanges will also be strengthened.
The main goals of Ethereum are:
Over 100,000 transactions per second (TPS) with L2 solutions. Cross-chain transfers complete within 2 seconds. Enhanced cross-chain security. It takes precedence over other improvements.
“We’re going to fundamentally change the user experience and redefine what decentralization means,” Buterin said without mincing words.
He seems determined to make Ethereum the undisputed leader in the blockchain space.
