Billy Marcus, who collaborated with Jackson Palmer to create the original meme-themed cryptocurrency Dogecoin in 2013, is the next public account on the X social media platform (previously popular as Twitter). They shared their expectations for the upcoming HBO movie. This week, he promised to reveal the identity of mysterious Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto.
It is worth noting that Dogecoin was created as a joke on Bitcoin, based on BTC code. Additionally, Marcus is known on X as “Shibetoshi Nakamoto,” another tongue-in-cheek reference to the Bitcoin creator’s pseudonym.
Polymarket users bet that Len Sassaman is Satoshi
Meanwhile, Polymarket data reveals that users are actively betting on who Satoshi Nakamoto really is, as revealed in the aforementioned HBO documentary. 75% of bettors believe Satoshi is cryptographer and privacy advocate Len Sassaman. However, Mo believes that the similar kanji for Satoshi’s name and the word “China” (as the name is spelled in Chinese) is no coincidence.

Billy Marcus was also asked several times in X if he was Satoshi, but he always sarcastically refuted those speculations. Perhaps in light of all these developments, Marcus said in a recent tweet, “I can’t wait to be blown away and disappointed by HBO’s Satoshi documentary.”
Finally, in today’s X post, Adam Back highlighted that Satoshi stopped using his pen name in 2011. That’s good,” he summed up.
So it’s almost definitional. The person talking to them is not Satoshi. Ked.
