Ripple Labs has pledged $1 million over multiple years to IRC. This partnership aims to leverage the XRP Ledger and RLUSD to scale aid delivery.
American blockchain payments company Ripple Labs recently announced that it has partnered with the International Rescue Committee (IRC). The partnership aims to explore how Ripple’s affiliated XRP Ledger (XRPL) and its pending RLUSD stablecoin can facilitate humanitarian aid.
Through this partnership, Ripple will help vulnerable communities access critical resources quickly and securely. Ripple will provide a full suite of payment solutions, while IRC will contribute years of experience in humanitarian relief.
Ripple pledges commitment to community-focused initiatives
The IRC is one of the world’s most trusted humanitarian organizations, helping individuals affected by crises survive, recover and rebuild their lives. To support IRC’s humanitarian efforts, Ripple has committed $1 million over multiple years to support IRC.
This funding highlights the companies’ collaborative efforts to explore blockchain technology in cross-border fund transfers and cash relief efforts. The partnership will also explore Ripple’s global payments network and open source solutions built on top of the XRP Ledger.

Ripple is already an established leader in compliant blockchain and cross-border payments. Meanwhile, IRC has provided humanitarian aid to more than 40 countries and issued more than $70 million in cash and relief vouchers.
This partnership marks an important milestone in Ripple’s mission to leverage blockchain technology to positively impact the world.
